hey dusty, are those walnut dividers end grain also?? nice board

Yes, the entire board is end grain. I re-sawed my walnut lumber to a touch over 1/4” thick and edge-glued the thin panels together to make a sheet of dividers. When I did the second glue-up, I alternated my striped maple-and-walnut pieces with the 1/4” thick walnut sheet.
