Very first live edge bowl. Its so thin that it cracked on the sides when I started sanding. Thinking of filling them with a colored inlay…I love that turquoise look on some bowls but I’m not sure what it is. Anyone have any leads?

I think this is exactly what you are looking for. It would be great for your live edge bowl. You have an eye for beauty. http://woodworker.com/turquoise-inlace-kit---8oz-mssu-146-669.asp?search=turquoise&searchmode=2

You can also get real turquoise from a jeweler at a reasonable price if you are willing to look. Just crush it to the size you want, fill the cracks, and ca glue it in place. It looks a lot better than inlace.

Quite impressive for a first, great shape and the live edge is beautiful. Great job!
