In my never ending pursuit to get things neat and tidy in my shop. I’ve put a different (so I think) spin on an old idea. I’ve been doing a large tile job and we are getting box after box of the hardi-backer screws so I’ve been saving the boxes. This was just a test run of 6 boxes when I get my new shop set up a hardware dept. I already have 20 of the plastic boxes and we aren’t even half done with backer board. How I made it: 2 1×4s cut to 191/4” ripped on the table saw to 3 3/8 then I dado cut the slots every 2 3/4s for the lip of the plastic box. I do have to thank Wilkerdos for the original idea.

Very nifty did almost the same thing with the screw boxes at 500ea.
A problem I found was if you dropped them they shatter …boo hiss

Nice design and great recycling !!
