These two music boxes have the same design except one is made out of Bocote & Wenge, and the other one made out of Quilted Maple & Wenge.

Both music boxes have a 72-note movement installed. The glass has a 1/2”-in bevel on the outside face of each piece.

The overall size is: 11-in. long x 6 1/2-in. deep x 5-in. tall. I still can’t figure out which one I like better.

These are stunning, Dennis!

Were they commissioned pieces? I know those 72-note movements are extremely pricey.

Dennis,
Both are really lovely; completed with your signature precision. Hard to make a choice between the two. My compliments.

Quilted maple by far the best. Its a bit more refined which suits the contents. Beautiful work.

Dennis, these are outstanding just like all of the rest your work. You are an amazingly talented craftsman and artist.

Nice work Dennis,
I prefer the Bocote & Wenge box.
I would really like to make one someday from Wenge and Zebra wood,
would you mind if I “somewhat” copy it? I’ll make the base different with different feet.
It would be a gift, not something to sell.

I also vote for the maple. Beautifully done! What tune does the movement play? Same on both boxes?

How many ways can I express what I think of your work, sometimes I have no words that can say how impressed I always am with all you do, another great job. You are a master in your work, it always shows. Yes, I’m back in Florida now. Have a great day. Patti too.

Good Morning Dennis, Once again, Lovely work ! Don’t you just love working with Wenge? : ) But it sure looks nice when finished.
What are you using for hinges, they look pretty sturdy – - are they a Brusso product? Take a bow my friend on a couple more home run’s; and greet Patti from your friend in KC.

Both are striking contrasts with the two choices of wood. I see how it was hard for you to decide on a favorite. You’re the box-man!

Excellent looking music boxes. I can see how you cannot decide which one you like best since they are both nice.
