All in a days play.
Made this little I PHONE AMP for my wife today and it was a lot of fun .
I saw John Schutz post a couple of these and I thought that it would be fun to experiment with .
The body is made from three layers of maple with the sound channels in the centre one on each side are sound chambers with the having a 3/32” X 2” pine dicc at the back and the same at the front with a 3/4” hole to let the sound escape into the square horn for the lack of a better word .
The two horns are 3/32” pine also and just glued together and glued into a square opening in the front layer of the body .
To charge the phone just flip it over and plug in the cord that way the sound channels stay well separated not connected by the opening required for the cord plug .

It works great and amplifies the sound real nice and clear .

Neat design. I like things like this made of wood. You get the warmth and creativity of wood blended with the modern feel of technology. Retro cool meets modern art. Good job!

Cool idea. Sort of low-tech hi-tech. :-)

Well done. I think this design might be a little easier to do than hollowing out half spheres for each speaker. I might give this a whirl.
