Pretty simple build of a desk with an auxiliary table for a keyboard. I purchased the poplar legs rather than turning my own because I am out of practice and they were relatively inexpensive. Used poplar for the table top and aspen pine for the rails because I had some leftover from another project. Stained it with a cherry gel stain and applied 6 coats of satin poly. Very satisfied with the result considering I “threw it together” in just a few days to replace an old kitchen table that was substituting for a desk

Nice work, Tommy. Simple is good. In a way, it can be more elegant. I like the clean lines. Beautiful job with the finish. Thanks for sharing. Play / be safe.

simple but very nice looking. The desk works perfectly in the space selected for it and it looks great.

It’s a nice piece. It makes a great desk.

I too like where you put it and the accents. It works! My desks only look like this once! LOL!

Wow, that came out really pretty. I didn’t know Aspen had such a nice grain. The Aspen we get here in Florida is almost plain white with only faint grain. Boards like in that table are rare. Very nice job.

It turned out great. Looks great in the setting and the finish really set it off. Beautiful work!
