I saw this desk in a magazine and made a few changes. I also resized it to fit in a corner of my daughters kitchen. She uses it for her computer. The mahogany has been in my barn since 1980 which I got at a local lumber yard. Every time they got a new draft of mahogany I would go through the pile and pick out pieces for future use. the inlay is walnut. I did use grain filler with just a touch of mahogany stain and I thinned mahogany stain with natural stain so the finish would not be so dark.

I have no idea why that picture is up side down, It is right on my computer. I guess I need to work on my computer skills.

Great job.

If you took pictures on your cell phone, they don’t transfer well to here. They all want to be in landscape mode. Normally if you take all of your pictures in landscape mode it won’t turn them.

A word of caution EJAY !!

Two years ago, I used my kitchen table as a desk for about one year. It’s a cherry table I made about 20 years ago. My lap top computer generated enough heat to actually shrink the top at about center. The result was a crack about 1/64th in. or so, right in the center of the table about 2 feet long. When I discovered the crack of course I removed the computer. Since then the crack has all but dissapeared, but I know I gotta address/repair the top at some point.

edit in;;; Very nice table!!!
