A NiceAshPlane, one year later

What a difference a year makes, 358 days or so ago, I introduced NiceAshPlanes on this site. Here is where my design is presently. These two planes are maple and osage orange. The sides are toothed for grip. This also allows for a nice shadow line. The rest of the wood is polished to a high shine. Both feature my tapered double iron and hidden pin.

A run of maple planes will be available on the site, shortly.

Thanks for looking!

Looking good Rhett, I was just looking at your site over the weekend, that new pin and iron/chip breaker setup looks awesome as well.

I really like the sheen/toothed contrast. Make for a sharp looking plane that’s still a user.

Very nice… Love the new design.

I use your blades in all my wooden planes.
