A must have for people who wear boots

This thing will get used a LOT at my home. I always called these things the foot-stepper-on-er-boot-taker-off-er thingy. It took me forever to figure out it is called a boot jack. Anyone who wears boots daily knows how much a pain in the butt they can be to remove. It’s not just for boot people though. I have a not-so-friendly back so reducing the time under tension of me struggling to take my boots off is great!

Anyone can make one with two feet of 1×6. For those who are interested here is a quick, fun video covering the build:

Have a great week folks!

Awesome boot jack. As someone who wears cowboy boots everyday this has been on my todo list for a while.

I need one of those, I’d be afraid it’d break from my weight

Yep, without a doubt. The older I get, the harder it is to bend over and put me boots on and off… lol

It’s a nice practical project. Good work. However, I’m going to give Redwing boots a plug. I’ve been wearing them for a long while now and I think they are easy to put on, easy to take off, and easy to wear. I even wear the ones with a steel toe and they hardly even require any break in. I generally wear my boots 7 days a week and prefer them to any other shoes that I own.
