Have some great friends who had their first child and decided to give them something they could keep after he was to big for it. The rockers come off and it can be used as a magazine rack or put back on if another little one should show up. Upon completion I thought I could have added some type of detail to the front and back as well as the rockers. That might have been a little beyond my skills at the time however. Built out of white oak so its a little heavy but it sure will last.

I like the dual functionality. I see too many of these that are made and later used for nothing but a dust collector. This one won’t have that problem, just a magazine collector. Looks great.

I agree with Don—that’s definitely a family heirloom. Great job, and thanks for posting it!
