A buddy of mine brought me these Blue Pine slabs from Montana. After jointing and glue up I hand planed, scraped and sanded. For the finish I started with first coat of thinned BLO ( I wanted the amber to match our log cabin interior). Second coat straight BLO then several hand rubbed coats of pure tung oil. After several days of cure time. I finished with two coats of GF Arm R Seal satin. Built the bench with MT joinery on lags and apron. kreg screwed the apron to the bench top.
Also designed and welded the table base. The metal base is sprayed with rust oleum black spray on bed liner. It gives a great finish that looks just like mat crinkle powder coat.

A beautifully executed design and build. The table certainly accents its surroundings.
