My wife and I own a educational toy and teaching supply store in our hometown. We recently moved the store around and reorganized a lot of our merchandise. One of the major differences is that we consolidated all of our books into one area and we needed a custom sized bookshelf to fit all of the books. So…here it is. I used birch plywood for everything…luan for the back…and edge banded it all with the pre glued iron on stuff. For the first time I used my router off of it’s table to cut dadoes and rabbits for the bottom, and middle shelves. The top shelf is joined with pocket holes. I created a shelf pin jig to space the shelf pins evenly and they came out great until the last few holes when the tape that I had around my drill bit as a depth gage slipped up and I drilled right through the side…thank god for wood filler!!! Finished it off with some minwax jacobean stain…love the color…and wipe on poly…not a big fan. The shelf looks great in the store and for the first time I feel like an accomplished woodworker. Only problem now is that my wife wants furniture for the house…will it ever end…I hope not!
Thanks for looking.

Good job. It always feels good when a project turns out well.
I know the feeling with the wife, I started making stuff and now the wife has a list a mile long of things for me to make.
