This design was to fill a wall next to the fireplace, and blend into it. My father and I built it based on his SketchUp design, using oak and oak plywood. Creating the molding on the top shelf and the plug to join it yo the existing mantle were interesting challenges. The design depends upon “T” vertical supports front and back. We used the biscuit joiner to attach all molding.

Like it, great design and well installed. Matches the mantle and has lots of storage and display area. Great work to both of you!
