This is obviously a labor of love and looks like something from the golden age of woodworking. Tracery, veneering and an elegant form. Bravo!

Thank you very much for all your responds.
Did not expected so many positive ones.
Well can explain, the walls are made of three layers of saw cut mahogany – plywood.
Then fret saw with a blade for metal work.
Then cutting the edge with a knife.
Then filing the edges with files.
Then laquering.

Thank you very much for your apriciation.
I have been commitioned to make a nother one a bit more complicated than the showen one.
Can make a blog about it while many things in the process, if some one is interested?
Must admit it is rather dificult and time consuming work.

Hay Alistair,
Thank you for the apriciation.
I think the easeast way may be to make a blog as I have mentioned earlier I have a new commision but that one is a bit more complicated more carving, gilding and marquetry.
As I am still in the process can take a few … well probably more then a few photos and explain.
But again it does require stady hands and hell of a time.

Oh I don’t know, I could of done better,,,, “NOT” l.o.l. man you must have the patience of an oyster and some steady hands there. That intricut detailed work would of drove me up the wall and lets face it, it would of frustrated me to the point of screaming and smashing it with a hammer. L.O.L. What talent, keep up with the sharing I can’t wait to see what you do next. Great job Bud
