Box of many Colors

Turned this little box over the weekend. The woods used are Bocote, Maple, Cherry and a Walnut insert in the top. I also had a first on this one – I used my Texturing tool on the underside of the lid and I used some Permanent Markers to apply some color to the texturing. I’m not a big fan of the coloring – I think that in this case it cheapens the project, but it is on there.

Looks like you are using up some scraps Bill. I like your style and wood choice but I might agree with the marker coloring. I have done a few coloring with marker and can’t make up my mind if it’s better with it or without.
