I used the pattern put out by Douglas Kremer…here is the link to his original project: http://lumberjocks.com/projects/49966

I resawed some 1/4 inch walnut and then sanded it down instead of using a planer. After that is pretty straightforward with the bandsaw, disc sander, and scroll saw. Cool project that functions very well. Great gift.
