Another AIM-9 Missile Display

These seem to have become popular on the request list of late. I made a jig to route the slot for the tail fin and drill the hole for the dowel that holds the front fins so it doesn’t take but 15 minutes to have ready to install both sets of fins. These are 1 1/2” dowels, 24” long. The stands just vary depending on the request.

I used water-rub decals for the logos. I picked up some PVC at Lowes today so looking at making a larger scale one to hang from the ceiling.

Nice work,
Looks very similar to a missile I would know as a “sidewinder”

AIM stands for air intercept missile…..also known as the sidewinder.

Looks great , but if I had one of thouse in my house I would have to make sure you couldn’t see it from outside. My super Paronid neighobor would be calling the ATF on me.
