So far the biggest and most massive of my bowl, carved it out of maple wood and is my first experience with this wood. Is protected by linseed oil varnish. Dimensions – length – 69 cm, width – 29 cm, height – 15 cm.

Nice carving! Did the wood take you in the finished direction?

An amazing piece. I have to admit I find it a somewhat disturbing project. Can’t put my finger on why its just kind of a visceral response. That it has that effect on me is intriguing…I wonder what I’d feel if I saw it first hand. Cool project in any event, thanks for posting it.
