Wood came from recycled pallet, except for the legs. Legs were ripped from a 2×6 to get 2×3. Finish is Waterlox Original Sealer/Finish. Held together with Grip Rite screws – 2” and 1 5/8”.

Where would you sit in relation to this; it seems like there isn’t a lot if room for the user’s legs? Is there a place to operate the mouse? The top seems very robust, far stronger then even the heaviest laptop would need I think.

Made this table so I wouldn’t have my laptop on my lap, it can hot after a while. I have it next to my recliner, like a night table next to a bed. As for the mouse I use a wireless mouse that i can operate on my lap. The bottom shelf holds my laptop speakers, external storage drive and there is a cubby hole for storage. And my laptop uses the entire top of the table.

Ahhh that makes sense. What the picture shows is the storage space, cool project.
