3/4×1.5” oak or maple sticks, old cigar boxes, string accessories, strings and wired pickups.

I’ll never make it as a luthier but this project involved building 4 guitars from wood scraps, cigar boxes, old guitar parts and a washboard. Each of the guitars sounds fantastic to my bowl making ears (what’s that ringing sound in my right ear?).

This was a really fun project and there are many videos on youtube showing you how to make cigar box guitars (acoustic or electric).

Please enjoy while I get back to turning some 14” bowls.

Great job! These things are addictive! They take me away from bowl and lathe work too!
