Have you ever had an idea that seemed excellent in your mind, but not so great when brought to reality. This is one of those. It seemed like a great idea to get rid of some old copper wire I had laying around. I was planning on making a bunch of these, but the wire (even when soldered) is still too flexible.

Copper is definitely a soft metal. Maybe try piano wire. That stuff is tough!

It’s a great idea. You could wrap the copper wire around a steel pin or a dowel.

not a bad idea you had different wire, i think alternating the wood like having walnut maple on bottom then maple walnut on top or vise versa might look pretty cool

Nice concept, You could stiffen the copper with epoxy.
