Wow! that is one nice looking piece of wood. Are the black parts some sort of millable plastic?

It is lacewood, ebonized black walnut, and stainless. The finish is clear polyurethane.

This is great. I never would have guessed the ebonizing. I thought it was some kind of powder coating. Nice work.
