I built this desk for my personal use. It is approximately 74” wide and 32” deep. Primarily sapele hardwood, with some plywood on the interior. Drawers are poplar with 1/4” sapele plywood bottoms. The desk is currently living in my shop, which doubles as my office. Designed it in sketchup, wasn’t shooting for any particular style. Took me almost 3 weeks to build. Finish is 3 coats of Arm R Seal, semi-gloss.

Very nice desk, love your treatment on the corners, reminds me of the work of Udo Schmidt, a cabinetmaker.

Looks good. I’ve always liked and wanted to work with ribbon sapele.

Beautiful! I really like sapele. Beautiful wood at a pretty descent price. The ribbon sapele really looks great on a large project like that. Hope you enjoy lumberjocks as much as I do! Glad to have you with us.

Yeah that is one fine looking desk. On a side note I think you just won the ‘cleanest shop’ award! All around nice piece.
