MacBook Air Case

I just got my first very own personal computer, otherwise known as a MacBook Air. As you can see, I bought one of those fancy schmancy plastic covers to protect it. But….I needed to make a safety carrying case also. I did. This is it. It is cherry wood. It has yet to be finished. I also want to get a strap to attach that way I could tote it around like a cool person. The groove that you see was originally going to be used for a rubber band to hold said computer in place. Wifey thinks that a leather strap with a buckle would be better. We husbands know whom to listen to, don’t we?

I like it, too. I think it will look great when finished and also get a LOT of looks and questions…, ” Where did you get it?”

Nice design and build, makes a pretty cool case. Great work.

Beautiful Josh! When you’re completely finished, I would suggest you protect your design for this MacBook Air (carrying) case … before sending some photos to Apple for marketing! They are always on the lookout for brilliant ideas!!

Nice job! Your is probably better than those available on the web, after all you made it yourself for yourself!
Yours is a clean and functional design, just as I like!

Have you Googled “wooden iPad or iPhone cases”?
There might still be money to be made out there for these accessories!

I’ve been thinking of making something simular for a tablet but I plan on lining it with felt so I don’t need another case. Do like the idea of a leather strap may have to incopirate that when I get around to making mine.

Yalls too kind! I can’t take it! Yes, there are very similar designs that are revealed by searching the interweb. I hope that this will bring me business as I walk with a exaggerated strut, swagging all the way through campus, head held high. Ill have my business cards at the ready.
