This box was made as a present for girlfriends Mom’s Birthday. The box is made of Jabota, with wenge, and Purple Heart inlay, and Wenge and Bloodwood splines. I added a lid stop to the back of the box to control the opening. The interior dividers are loose and inserted into 1/4” grooves in the bottom of the box. I did this so that the dividers would have some play making the pill cases easier to remove and replace. The dividers are made of unfinished juniper and held in place with two 1” X 1/4” self adhesive velcro strips. This prevents the dividers from falling out, but allows them to be removed to re-purpose the box with by adding a bottom liner.

Thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

What are the holders made out of?

Beautiful box, great craftsmanship on this. Nice idea for assisting with monthly pill dispensing, I’m sure it will greatly benefit the new owner.

This box is very beautiful and you’ve done a fine job on it.

Looks great, the inlays and splines are attractive and great idea on the lid stop. Great work! I’m sure she appreciates it.

Have your say...
