These are the wooden oar pins i was asked to turn for the first 21 foot St Ayles skiff (a type of rowing boat) built through volunteers at the Isle of Mull Coastal Rowing Club.

Ahhh, The St. Ayles skiff, a lovely little boat.
You don’t see many thole pins these days though. You have to be a real traditionalist ….. like me.
I have them on my dinghy and people are always asking me what they are.

Lovely boat – and pretty nifty rowing steps too!

Thanks guys, i’ll be sure to put up a few photos of her once shes in the water. Launching her this saturday. If you havent checked out the facebook yet its definatly worth
a look, got the whole boat start to finish on there.
