For a friends Birthday, I designed this puzzle box. I did not find anything like it on the net after considerable search so I designed my own. It was a challenge not only to figure out the design but to cut all of the notches so it would work. Drawing it full size allowed me to project notches so they would line up correctly and be the right depth. You remember projection from 7th grade drafting class? You young guys probably didn’t do any board drawing nor even get drafting class.
It holds the larger bottles and will actually hold wine bottles. The openings are 3 1/4” square. I made it from 1/2” ply because I had it, but I think 3/8” or maybe even 1/4” would be OK. It needs to be a bit stiff and because of the notches close to the ends, it should be plywood.
I’d tell you the secret to putting it together … but it will cost you a brew.

AS I am nurturing a Widmer Bros. Brrr—(Can not buy again until winter—BUMMER)—and have 3 cedar carriers under current construction; I have to comment!

MUCH NICER than mine!

Very unique!

If they can’t re-assemble they get cut off?

Added to my favorites. It’s on the “to make” list.

Cool carrier! Great design, well thought out and executed. Like the cut out in the middle. Great job!
