My Great-grandson will be getting this soon, I hope he likes it!
I made the body from cherry and the legs and wheels from hard maple recycled flooring, the eyes are dyed hickory.

Ha, Ha, Ha, and a huge smile is the reaction people have when they see this in action for the first time, the Joy it brings is worth the time and effort it takes to get them , “just right.”

Thank you all for your kind comments.

WOW! Luving this. Are there any plans for this or was this straight from your creative mind? Excellent work, would love to make one for one of the kids.

Good Looking Bug!!
I have this book, and have made close to a dozen of these little critters myself. The articulated pull toys are always a big hit at craft fairs.

Everyone of your toys look extremely well crafted – especially like pull-toys. Great grasshopper!
