A friend of my wife was moaning about not being able to find a knick knack table to her liking. My wife volunteered my workshop. I suggested Ikea but the wife prevailed.

I hate it when I get voluteered for other peoples projects. Nice job on the table!

Hello Lee

Looks good. I like the black finish.

Read your home page. Toy making is a fun woodworking niche. Good way to entertain yourself.
Wooden toys only get better with age as each generation of child gets to add their wear mark.

Table looks great! I too, know the feeling of being volunteered. My wife informed me that a friend of hers has an antique chair that is broken and her friend will be bringing it over so I can fix it. What can I say; after all, we married them!

May the day find you well,
Mike

The finish is Benjamin Moore Alkyd enamel semi-gloss. Three coats. Top put on with a small roller. Balance of the table with brush.

Nice design Lee and a good choice for the finish. It let’s the piece stand out from the surroundings.

I really like the table not quite so fond of the black, but that’s just me everyone else here loves it.I mainly don’t like the black because on of the big companies here started to manufacture stuff here called black oak effect which was chipboard covered with paper they flooded the market with the stuff and I went off it big time don’t take offence as I really like your work.Alistair
