I’ve been a week trying to get these done. Poospleasure helped me quite a bit with info and pictures. My object was to get a balancer that looked like a golf club driver. I finally accomplished it with the ones pictured, I won’t show the ones leading up to these ‘cause they just aren’t worth it unless someone wants to see how not to do it.
Anyway, these are about 15” high with the hole being around 11”. The shaft is walnut 3/4” wide x 5/8” thick. The foot is about 4” long and 4 pieces, 3 of which are the face consisting of 2 pieces of walnut and 1 piece of 3/4” plywood. The bulk of the foot is a single block of 1” walnut with a 22 1/2 degree angle with a 3/4” dado to accept the shaft. Being a little hesitant to rely totally on glue I decided to drill and screw the shaft as well as glue it to the foot. The 5th picture shows the dado and the screw.
Thanks for looking and thanks poospleasures for your help.
