This is a nother Clayton Boyer plan. Galileo’s Bicycle. When I finally finished getting it strung and in time I was calling it Galileo’s Rvenge.

I gave it to my daughter and her husband for Christmas to hang in his office. I jut finished hanging it the 1st of March.

I used Walnut for the mount, most of the mechanism and paduak for the 3 rotators. I originally used purple heart for the bobbing arms but the torque required to stop and reverse the rotation was to much and one of the arms broke at the pivot. I had to go back to baltic birch for those arms.

I took a video of it mounted and in operation but my skills as a videographer are somewhat lacking. It was unuseable. It does work and looks good in his office. I am not sure how much work will get done. It is aswfully mesmerizing watching it.

Nest is Boyer’s #6 clock

Beautifully done Bruce. I really admire you guys that make these intricate clocks. Your choice of wood combinations really set the piece off.
