First attempt at relief carving a Wood Spirit ( don’t really know if we have them in Australia) and hope to do more on the Australian Aboriginal theme. Carved on White Cedar it is 2’6” high.
Any comment to help improve or suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks for the comments, very encouraging. I have been carving various things for about 3 years but this is the first on this theme. It started as a Wood Spirit along the lines of the American styles (I suppose novelty) but as I progressed the face started looking Aboriginal and I thought why not start a theme of Australian Aboriginal Wood Spirits. Amazing that a piece of wood can tell you what it wants to become.
