Double Nickel Chess Ensemble

Chess board with 2” squares in Sapele and Maple with a border in Cherry, Walnut and gilded molding. Table is Sapele with gilded molding. Four 1959 nickels are inlaid in the corners as they are the birth year of the recipient my Twin Brother Larry. Drawers are Walnut and Maple with hand made Brass Pulls.We are the first of two sets of twin boys. We will be 55 in April hence the “Double Nickel” theme

Drawers in Walnut and Bird’s eye Maple with shop made Brass pulls.

Drawers are lined with red felt.

I have a second Chess Set for this ensemble. The first shown here was made for this presentation. The other set is made from cold rolled steel. I turned this set nearly 35 years ago. This set is finished in Enamel.
