Filigree Candle Tray

I made this Filigree Candle tray. It is made from 1/2 inch oak with the center dropped 1/4 inch for a jar candle. It has a hand rubbed coat of tung oil followed by a “French polish” of tung oil. This produces a very smooth finish.

I am already getting ready for the fall craft shows. If I happen to sell a few of these along the way – that is OK. Last year I got caught short – NO MORE.

That perimiter work took a lot of patience! Another fine piece.
