Project Information

An old friend of mine gave me this picture and I felt it was worthy of a nice frame. It's made from a white oak tree that my neighbor cut down last year. This is riff sawn, the quarter sawn is being saved for… Well, not sure really. Something cool I'm sure!

Also drew it in Sketchup first. What a great program!

Like it a lot.
I think I am inspired to try this design but I may lose the top piece and copy the overlap design on the bottom and finish the top that way too….....making it symetrical.
Well done.

There's been a lot of nice A&C pieces on the board lately. This is certainly no exception. Nice job and very clever use of the tapering of the vertical bits. Just enough, eh? Not flashy but….there….really sweet frame. I bet that bit at the top was a bear to get just so…elegant.
