Zoom Pictures

I made this for my daughter for Christmas. She loved it so much that she has become interested in woodworking herself. She is now my daily shop helper. I look forward to many special projects with her.

This box taught me a lot. It’s the first time I ever used laminate. The lid and drawer fronts are Elm burl. The sides are Oak while the trim is some exotic hardwood that I’m unsure of. I think it might be Cocobolo. The side doors swing open and have hooks for her necklaces. The top drawer is a false drawer. The lid opens up for more storage. This is also the first time I used edge banding. The frame is made from Birch ply. I never knew how easy edge banding was until I did this project.

P.S. Again with the sideways picture. What’s up with that?

Dale:

Are you using a Phone to take them and download them?

As per your Bookcase it’s Downloading the “Long Way” Horizontally. The one close up shows properly.

Or from your Computer as above, click on “img” (brown box) then “Browse”, then “Insert this image”?

I’ve never had a problem with Pics that way.

Good job. Great if it gets you father-daughter time in the shop.

Take all of your pictures in “landscape” mode. That’s how the computer is going to download it.

Hi Monte:

With All Due Respect: “Take all of your pictures in “landscape” mode. That’s how the computer is going to download it.”

When I download anything to here from my Computer it will go on here whichever way I have it Oriented on my Computer. This one is leaving My Computer at 249p Wide & 400p Tall.

Sometimes they will Downsize it if it’s to Large, but leave the Orientation the way it is. In this case they left it the same.
