This is actually a very old project of mine but it was at my parents house and I just “rediscovered” it. This was one of the first projects I made when I put together my woodshop. It was actually an experiment in cutting half-lap joinery on my “new” (at the time) radial arm saw.
Made with scraps of maple and handmade paper from a craft store. On the inside is a fluorescent coil bulb which stays very cool.

Very nice! Did you use a pattern or plan, or make up the joinery?

Nice lamp, Blake. One of my first projects was a lamp as well. Looks like I will have to put it up on the LJ site.

Looks nice with the shoji feel. The wife has been after me to make something along this line and as always, Blake you serve a whopping load of inspiration.

Simple clean lines, but very effective. Nice project.
