I had a friend who asked me to build a small cabinet for wine.
She showed me a ..(here we go again) a pottery barn wine cabinet photo.
It had a few ‘measurements ’ on the printed out page.
Not to be wider than 37 and taller than 36…
not much to work with.
she did not want oak/ash hard woods with a white wash finish. to grainy….
I went to my local saw mill and picked up these huge cotton wood boards.
very light grain and soaks up white wash pretty good.
She wanted the white wash look over any natural stain or clear coat.
So i set out and built this little wine cabinet of cotton wood.
Panel sides, wine box was dadoed and a half lap front to trim it out.
Small little half laps make up the door window details.
hand blown seeded glass panels give it a old style look.
Rockler hinges and knobs.
back is ship lapped and hand nailed.
