Zoom Pictures

My Son does quite a bit of photography and has kept me in practice making frames. This is my newest. A few months back I posted a project saying how tricky picture frames are. I think I am getting the hang of it now. (Calibrating my miter saw helped.) I even made one of the picture frame clamping jigs to help. He chose ceder for this and stained with special walnut stain. Quite a combination but it worked. Sealed with gloss poly. Edges done with a roman ogee bit from a set he bought me for Christmas.

Miters make the frame. All the rest is just window dressing for the frame. And of course a great photo helps.
Nice…...........

Awesome, the frame is very appropriate for the subject matter. Nice work, I think you are getting the hang for making frames :-)

Thanks for looking and for the kind comments. Now that I have this “frame thing” figured out time to try new styles. I’m quite sure my Son will keep me guessing.

Nicely done Jeff! Love the knots. Maybe think about adding a matt to really set off the subject. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more collaboration between you and your son.
