Sunflower - Intarsia

This an intarsia piece I did in 2011. It is called “Sunflower” The pattern is from Kathy Wise’s book, Intarsia Woodworking for Beginners.

The piece is 11” x 7”, has 28 pieces.
The woods used are yellowheart, cherry, walnut, poplar, wenge, mahogany

VERY nice piece of work!

I think what makes the piece is the shadow – it kind of gives it an extra 3-D look.
