I made this about 12 years ago and thought I’d post since I was taking pictures anyway. It’s Baltic birch veneered with African mahogony and walnut burl. The edges are purple heart. The interior is lined with 1/8 inch Spanish cedar. It has served me well for a long time.

Still looks great after 12 years. Mitered joints look solid, are they splined under the veneer?

Beautiful and well made, like the gorgeous top. An heirloom piece for sure!

Daniel, what looks like mitered joints is actually only in the veneer. The box carcass is your basic tongue and groove plywood box.
