Just finished this display case for friends family bible. The top is 12×15 x 5 soldered glass with a black patina made by my wife. The base is felt covered plywood with cork on the bottom and trimmed in walnut. It has an oil and varnish finish.

Nice. What a good idea. I have a very very old copy of Tom Sawyer that was my grandfathers. I just keep it put away so it doesn’t get hurt. I may borrow your idea here :)

simple design on this lends to keeping the main focus intact which is on the bible… that looks like a very old bible and should be kept under glass, well done!
