This spinning top made out of two parts. The base and the spinning top itself. When you spin it on the stick, it will turn flatly until stop when it looses balance it will hung itself on stick. as in photos 3 & 4. I saw the idea in the following video and made mine in the next day. Armin is a metal and wood turner and makes very nice tops out of wood and brass. Very NICE Sam!

Really COOL idea!

It would seem to me, if everything was perfect, the Top would stop & stay Horizontal after it stops and NOT fall over.
... that would be BIG “IF”, I think… but, if anyone could do it, You could!
... Is that a reasonable idea? ... Possible?

Thank you!

Good one Sam. Seen a lot of spinning tops but nothing like that.

Joe, it was designed to go that way, to hung itself in the end. Also, with timber, it would be impossible to balance thing like this one. because wood density is not the same even in one piece.
