Long time guys, nice to see the site still going strong. I haven’t done any woodworking, for a variety of reasons, for darned near 6 months. Made this for a friend for a wedding gift to be given to a die hard fisherman.

Figured mahogany, about a foot tall, silver wire. Lacquered. Hope to show more, comment more, and get back in the Schwing of things. (pun intended). Nice to see y’all.

Truly a work of art. The wood is spectacular and the shape is very pleasing. I really like your use of silver wire as well.

Beatiful work, as always!

You trying to tell the guy he is “hooked” now? :-)

With that barb on the hook you sure can’t practice ‘catch and release’....hmmm considering the purpose of the gift that’s maybe a good message to send LOL. An interesting piece.
