Garage storage cabinet

My wife needed a place to put additional kitchen stuff that she doesn’t use all the time (crock pot, blender etc..) . Up until recently, the cheap plastic shelf in the background was doing the job, but seeing as how the garage is dedicated as my workshop, all her stuff would get dusty…So I decided to build her a cabinet.

I converted a set of 2×4 and plywood shelves I had previously made and built a frame. The rest of the cabinet was completed with scraps and lumber reused from other jobs I had done around the house. It was my first attempt at making doors…Though it wont win any awards for technical execution or innovative design, I had a good time making it, learned a thing or two and I am pretty happy with the way it came out…Oh, and the wife is happier too!

Thanks for looking!

Looks good. It makes me think I should do something like that, as we have started to use the garage also for infrequently used kitchen gadgets etc. If your wife likes it, then it is a WIN WIN situation.

Those kind of cabinets are coming to my shop as well. Good job.

Nice set of cabinets. I am sure she is loving them. And you have a new work area! :-) Might have to add a lip so you can have something to clamp too! :-)

Looks Solid & Functional . . .Looks Good!
Since your wife has the cabinet space . . .at least you get to use the top as a part-time workbench or at least an assembly table . . .right?
