Kitchen Stools

These are three stools I recently made for my kitchen. They are made from quarter-sawn red oak and stained with the same stain as the kitchen cabinets then finished with Arm-a-Seal. I designed them first in Sketch-up, but made some adjustments during construction. The seat is attached with dowels and the rest is mortise and tenon. This was my first time trying to do some angled mortise and tenons but it was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. Thanks.

Looks great! How did you create the curve in the top piece? Bandsaw and sand?

Nice stools. I am building a version of them right now. Yours came out well, I hope mine do also.

God bless,
Paul

They’re beautiful and sturdy, very nice wood choice and great design and finish. Great job!
