I waited a while for a useable branch to fall off the basswood tree at work. I was using it to practice faces when I hit a hollow. I decided to go with the flow of the wood and wound up with the creepiest damn carving I’ve ever made.

its cool, like a 2 faces of the same guy thing. You know, like in Jedi, where Luke is hiding from Vader under some stairs and half his face is blue. Your carving has one foot on the dark side and has to make a choice. Just like Luke. Or like Brando in Apocalypse Now. :)
