Reclaimed Birdseye Maple case, top, and drawer fronts
Reclaimed Butternut for drawer bottoms
Hard Maple for legs, and all internals

This hall style table has a matching mirror frame that hangs above. Made for the owner of a glass company who supplied me with the material.

You should have a very happy customer. Well don, and I like the wood choices.

Your craftsmanship shows in your use of the wood grain and joinery. What an eye catcher.

Very nice table, fantastic color contrast with the woods.

Forgive my ignorance, but is birdseye maple simply more figured wood (birdseye figure?) from a separate part of the same type of maple tree that the legs came from? That’s quite a color difference! Or is it 2 different types of tree?

Perhaps someone could educate me on this.

12strings, birdseye is not a special maple specie, it’s that whoa… cool, when you mill hard maple. The patina comes from the age of this particular material. It is easily 100yrs young. The finish was a hand rubbed oil-varnish.
