Ice chest I made using half of wine barrel. The barrel is made from white oak. I made a lid that is split in half with a piano hinge, so that the lid opens from both sides. The lid is also white oak, joined together using biscuits. I installed a hose bib for draining. I sealed the inside with spray on bed liner in an can. The ice chest was made for a local high school to auction off at their fundraiser, so I used a burning tool to brand their logo on the top of the lid. The outside was then sealed with a Spar urathane. I used two rings and four staves to constuct the stand. I drilled 3/8” holes through both and inserted rods, secured with nut and washer.
