This is a Jewelry Box that I made for a friends wife. It is long over due as it was intended to be an Xmas Gift. Luckily he is patient and was willing to wait as it took some time to complete. It is roughly 9”Long X 6”Deep X 4” High. Made out of Tiger Maple and Brazillian Cherry for the accent. His wife’s initials in the top were deeply laser engraved by another friend then filled with clear epoxy and sanded flush. There were many firsts for me on this box and also many unexpected issues. So I am sure I learned several lessons on this build and I suppose thats a good thing….lol…. Thanks to all for looking I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.

VERY nice. Love the corners (now I’ve got to study on how you did those). That is some spectacular maple!

How did you finish it?

I like! Thanks for posting. The corner trim is a nice touch. I like the simplicity of the top box and it looks like it fits really well.
Nice work.

Thanks Everyone for the kind comments…. Andy I finished it with my normal finish now which is the Beall Wood Buff System, super easy and seems to hold up quite well from what I am hearing back from my Domino Boxes. How, well thats toys coming into play, I did it on my Incra setup router table, the joints are Cornerpost Dovetails.

The tiger maple is superb. Well done.
It looks like it would be a very tactile box to handle with the rounded edges.
